GOOD NEWS FOR THE START
OF 2011.
Earlier this month we received news from the PAUL BASSHAM CHARITABLE TRUST
that we had been granted £25,000.00 by them
to go towards the funding of the new HQ building.
This is a very generous offer and one which we are very appreciative of.
"SPONSOR a PLANK"
The "Sponsor a Plank" appeal is still running, to date with the addition of Gift Aid it has raised
over £5,000.00.
Potentially this appeal should raise over £30,000.00
for the main HQ building fund, so there are still planks to sponsor at £25.00 per metre.

THE NEW QUAY HEADING
After searching for a suitable mechanical winch, Goodchild Marine have recently completed the quay heading with the installation of the disabled persons hoist. To finish off this part of the project completely the ground behind the quay heading needs back filling with top soil and then grassing.
CHARITY FUNDRAISING
With the assistance of Charity Fundraising we have recently sent out in access of thirty applications to various charities, foundations and trusts seeking funding from them for the building of the new HQ. It is likely to take several months before we start to get any reaction from these applications as the trustees of these organisations only meet on various different dates throughout the year.
