We have reached our target and are poised to place a contract with our builder.
We still need to raise money for finishing items including some fittings and decoration but he new HQ is on the way
We hope it's completed in time for Christmas
SEE THE LIST OF DONORS BELOW
August 2011
The Funds raised and promised to date stand at an amazing £228,350 but there is still a way to go before we can start the new building.
This total includes a number of new donations and promises,
a big thank you to all our generous donors (both named and anonymous)
and an amazing £4,000 from the 2nd Great Norwich Duck Race which was a great success. Thanks go to Jane for all her hard work
We are therefore working hard on a number of applications for grants to complete the project.
CHARITY FUNDRAISING APPOINTED
Charity Fundraising Ltd of Woodbribge have recently been appointed as our professional fundraising partner in the challenge to raise the funds required to get the new HQ built.
However: This does not mean that we can sit back and expect Charity Fundraising to fulfil our dreams for us, we still need to be raising funds and we still need your support in doing this!
"SPONSOR a PLANK"
The "Sponsor a Plank" appeal is still running, to date with the addition of Gift Aid it has raised around £5,100.
Potentially this appeal should raise over £30,000.00
for the main HQ building fund, so there are still planks to sponsor at £25.00 per metre.

"CORPORATE DUCK RACE"
As part of the 2011 Great Norwich Duck Race, which takes place on the Sunday after the Lord Mayors Procession, there will be a Corporate Duck Race. This will give companies and professionals the opportunity to sponsor a Big Duck for £250.00 with only fifty Big Ducks avaialable.
20% of the sponsorship raised will be returned in prize money,
which has to go to the winners choosen charity.

Sir Nicholas Bacon cuts the tape in October 2010
Despite the damp and wet afternoon a crowd gathered at the HQ for the opening of the
new quay heading, Sir Nicholas did the honours as well as ceremoniously launching
one of the three new indian canoes.
Thankyou to all that supported the afternoon,
£650.00 was also rased from the garden fete towards Group funds.
